  • One thing is certain: children will love us. And a world that is good for children is good for everyone. In detail: the direct neighbors benefit from the improved microclimate and the owners of the areas benefit from the heat reduction, which leaves the asphalt surface material undamaged for longer. But above all, the people who spend time on our shaded areas benefit. So those who want to leave the dog in the vehicle while shopping will love our shaded parking lots, or those who simply want to get into a cool car.

  • Existing, sealed areas exist on a large scale worldwide. Mostly they are parking lots, but also urban pedestrian zones or squares. Many areas are in good condition, some have not even been financially depreciated. Certainly, it would be best to build green spaces instead of the sealed areas. But many of these areas are simply necessary or at least necessary for a certain period of time. But we put trees on these inhospitable areas and thus make them livable and lovable. This is very easy to do afterwards thanks to our MANYTREES system.

  • Compare it to minimally invasive surgeries in medicine. For us, too, it's about causing as little harm as possible. We work cleanly, quietly and almost dust-free. We only drill, mill and cut as much as absolutely necessary. In our MANYTREES system, the concrete or asphalt is not opened over a large area, taken away by truck and disposed of as is usually the case. In the end, not everything has to be patched up ugly again. And even for the irrigation pipes, we do not need to dig wide and deep, but they are laid in small slots using the technology of fiberglass laying.

  • Retrofitting means that you get as much as possible of what was once created with a high use of energy. This is an important primary goal. And from a purely technical point of view: in a parking lot that is heavily frequented, grass pavers cannot be used permanently without any problems. It is better to leave the robust asphalt or concrete surface in place. And in urban areas with pedestrian or bicycle traffic, there are hardly any alternatives to sealing. There are often beautiful tile coverings that are only opened selectively in our system.

  • We protect tree discs from compaction caused by car tires. And we support the neighboring area against sinking. The tree substrate itself could not withstand the lateral pressure exerted by an SUV parked directly next to the tree. And a bulky emergency vehicle of the fire brigade or waste disposal must be able to pass just next to it. To ensure that the substructure never gives way, it is supported by our MANYTREES steel ring.

  • Every investment loses value every year. All real estate investments become shabby, rusty, worn or even just unfashionable over time. Only trees become bigger, more beautiful, more valuable from year to year. And ours in particular!

  • Yes, all parking spaces will be retained. This is because we are planting the tree exactly at the intersection of four parking lots. Other retrofits of trees in parking lots require more space due to their edging with kerbstones and you therefore have to sacrifice a parking space. This is not necessary with our MANYTREES system. We are decisively ahead there...

  • Oh yes, MANYTREES does not need a single gram of concrete! Conventional tree in sealed surfaces usually have concrete edging stones in concrete foundations. Concrete is known to be the worst climate sinner with about 8% of CO2 emissions. In the steel ring, up to 25% recycled content is used in the production of the steel. The drill cores of the aeration holes are to be used as tread plates in gardens. And in general, the minimally invasive design, where the reducer of all materials and transports is in the foreground, gives a particularly sustainable construction method.

  • Gladly! MANYTREES take care of the entire area. Bicycle racks, charging stations or other things are just as important to us as our trees. In any case, the focus is always on an overall design. Livable space is created by the trees as the primary element, but also by our creative floor coating graphics and additional elements, such as soda makers or similar sensual elements. After all, even fairy lights at Christmas time and their connection options are important to us.

  • We will not stop climate change alone, although if our MANYTREES convert a lot of CO2 into oxygen. But above all, it is the microclimate that we have a significant influence on. Shade is of course the most important thing here to reduce heat islands. In addition, there is the evaporative moisture of the trees and the green tree slices, which leads to the mitigation of summer overheating. The wind that blows through the treetops is cooled and the fine dust in the air is filtered through the leaves. Also interesting: Environmental noise is absorbed by the many trees.

  • All people love trees. Who on earth doesn't like a tree?  While you can argue about pretty much any kind of design of a building, the square in front of it will undoubtedly be more beautiful if there are trees there.

  • We invest our profits in the growth of our company so that as many places as possible become green. But part of the profit is put into reforestation projects. Therefore MANYTREES is also indirectly helping to ensure that more trees adorn our planet and remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

  • Of course, an earthworm is something valuable, we already learned that in kindergarten. So far, he has not been able to do much with the sealed surface. But he will make friends with our tree slices. Bees, butterflies and especially birds love our treetops. Cats climb our tree trunks at night. And yes, of course, many a dog will pee on the trunk of our trees. But we can easily stand it.

  • Imagine you are a tree and you come out into the sun for the first time. Ouch, sunburn! In the nursery, the young trees were dense like in the forest and the trunks thus had shade. The trunks of freshly planted trees therefore need a kind of sunscreen, namely a thin, white, mineral protective coating.

  • The trees are usually planted as “20/25”, according to the professional. This is how the trunk circumference at a height of 1 meter is described. At this point trees are about 8 to 10 years old and already about 5 meters high. The crown is rather narrow and light at the beginning. But this will soon expand wonderfully as a shade provider in width and become denser.

  • This depends very much on the location. The ground water may be very high or the environment may be extremely dry. Furthermore, in car parks, it is generally not desirable for a tree to drip or for fruit to fall. The client is also welcome to suggest preferences such as early leaf growth or attractive autumn colours. In short: there isn’t just one single suitable tree, but a lovely range to choose from.

  • If the MANYTREES sensors, which measure the conductivity of the substrate around the tree, trigger an alarm, additional nutrients are supplied to the trees as part of routine maintenance.

  • The MANYTREES system measures the moisture, temperature and conductivity of the root zone. The data is transmitted to a central computer twice a day. This enables us to determine which albedo-cooling coatings are most effective and to manage nutrient supply as part of the care regime. Irrigation is automatically adjusted so that the tree always receives sufficient water, but never wastes too much of it.

  • Our tree expert in the MANYTREES team introduced the term, and it seems so special. What is it about? Roots need oxygen, this aspect is usually very underestimated. We aerate the soil and because the holes are distributed at a certain distance from the tree disc, the roots are stimulated to grow widely.g

  • The surfaces of sealed surfaces are known to get very hot. Trees don't like that at all. The tree disc then dries out quickly and the heat that rises near the tree is harmful to the leaves. Heat stress occurs. Asphalt is of course particularly dangerous here due to the dark color. Therefore, bright ground marking paint is applied around the trees with graphically exciting patterns, using simple stencils. By the way, we make sure that the positive cooling effect is not cancelled out by harmful reflection of UV radiation from below into the treetop.

  • Sponge city trees are not artificially irrigated but live from rainwater storage in a large underground volume. Logically, we cannot create this root space with subsequent, minimally invasive planting of sealed areas. However, our other accompanying measures compensate for this disadvantage in the best possible way. If you would only make sponge city trees, let me tell you: the only alternative for existing sealed areas would be not to plant any trees at all.

  • People like to help, want to do something good. We will therefore actively involve many people in our tree care and tree control. There will be a sign in the vicinity of the tree plantings, where we call on people to upload photos of the trees to a website. For this purpose, one QR code will be found on each tree.

  • The snowplow drivers have it a little harder than before. But fortunately, there are said to be some who enjoy curving around the rings more than pushing endless asphalt deserts free. And yes, those who have to remove the leaves don't like MANYTREES. Unless they are aware that we are securing their jobs.

  • Yes, you read that right. We are convinced of our optimized MANYTREES overall system. And that's why we give a 10-year warranty. Gardeners take care of the trees as part of a long-term care contract and that they are always doing well. We guarantee that.

  • Trees prefer rainwater. It is the most natural form of water, contains nutrients and has an ideal water hardness of around 6.5. That is why our MANYTREES system channels rainwater to the tree pits using surface channels. The steel rings are perforated, allowing water to reach the tree – unlike the concrete kerbstones usually found elsewhere.

  • Yes, absolutely! There is nothing more logical than allowing rainwater to infiltrate directly where it falls. This is particularly important for local authorities. Drainage systems are usually overloaded, which is why minor flooding often occurs during heavy rainfall.

  • Because the MANYTREES special substrate acts as a filter in the same way as a technical filter, even surface water from heavily polluted car parks classified as F3 can be discharged into it. Thanks to our substrate, the trees have no problem with the pollutants.

  • The climate in Central and Southern Europe means we cannot rely on rain alone. Furthermore, sealed surfaces become particularly hot. Irrigation is therefore particularly important in the early years. The plastic bags that are sometimes seen, into which water is poured from time to time, are not an ideal solution. Our MANYTREES system therefore irrigates using water pipes and a control system that is influenced by rain sensors and probes in the soil.

  • First of all, there is a top layer of mulch to cover the root ball and its substrate. This layer is usually mineral-based, a kind of gravel. We plant perennials in it. On the one hand, it simply looks lovely and attracts insects; on the other hand, it provides further protection against evaporation.

  • Yes! Our tree slices have a diameter of 180 cm. Because we don't have kerbstones with foundations, we can dig down the entire size of the tree slice. This creates sufficient root space. Furthermore, on the bottom of the planting pit, augers are still being used selectively. far down towards the groundwater. By the way, the oldest trees in the world often have particularly small root spaces, so volume alone is far from the most important thing. It depends on the supply of water, air and nutrients.

  • MANYTREES is concrete-free! In contrast to traditionally placed borders with kerbstones, we do not need foundations under which the soil has to be strongly compressed so that nothing settles. With previous, conventional edging, the roots cannot grow out laterally, which is easily possible with our steel rings with their wavy cut at the lower edge. The higher up roots can grow to the side, the better.

  • Condensation usually forms at the bottom edge of the tarmac because it gets hot during the day and cools down at night. Tree roots thrive on this moisture and, in conventional tree pits on sealed surfaces, tend to grow towards the bottom edge of the tarmac. However, the MANYTREES aeration holes prevent vapour pressure from building up in this way.
